The role of our Registered Nurse Charge Nurses is paramount in providing optimal patient care. They are responsible for undertaking various duties and tasks that contribute to enhancing the overall healthcare experience:

• Monitoring a patient's temperature, blood pressure, and other vital measurements
• Undertaking essential duties of patient care, including bandage replacement or catheter insertion
• Paying attention to the patient's health status, demeanor, and actions and communicating any issues to an attending Physician or RN Unit Manager
• Patient shares personal anecdotes about loved ones in a session
• Guiding patients through their care plan, detailing the procedures ordered by their medical professionals, and addressing any issues or worries they may be experiencing
• Implementing physician-prescribed medication to patients
• Healthcare providers should remind patients that getting vaccinated is safe, effective, and one of the most important things they can do for their health
• Supporting and guiding CNA’s and NA’s to ensure the highest quality of patient care

Qualifications/Requirements:

• The nurse is fully licensed by the Federal and State licensing boards and meets all of the relevant requirements
• Emphasis is placed on developing communication abilities, such as listening and speaking, when working with patients, family, and healthcare professionals
• The knowledge and ability to navigate electronic medical systems are key components of modern healthcare practices
• A qualified practical nurse who has completed the necessary coursework and practical experience through an approved practical nursing program
